MSU Basketball Predictions for Next Year
What are some of your predictions for next year's MSU basketball program?
Here are a few of mine:
Rick Ray will coach us to the NIT again. Although he will have to rebuild this team into HIS team, I hope that I am not being too optomistic.
Dee Bost and Arnett Moultrie will go pro. Both will do well. Again, I hope that I am not being too optomistic.
Rodney Hood will emerge as a leader for Rick Ray. He needs to, anyway.
And finally, Renardo Sidney will be in a prison somewhere in Florida. And once again, I hope that I am not being too optomistic.

Nobody owes you anything.

If he can hold the recruiting class together and keep Hood they can probably play into the NIT. If not it will be a dismal year or two while he replenishes the roster. Only 4 on scholarship right now.

Now that Hood's gone what do y'all think? Coach Ray really is gonna be tested....
I'm a state fan, so don't even go there. I say they make it 1st round of NIT...

Right now we are staring down the barrel of an 8-20 record and the bottom of the SEC. The spring signing period starts on Wednesday so we still have a chance to sign 2 or 3 impact players. Not likely but there is still a chance. We will know more about the roster in a couple of weeks.

I didn't ask for the debacle that followed. Besides, this was going to happen anyways. The only difference is we should see a little something called effort from now on. We won't likely see any fist fights in the stands. We probably won't see a fat ass slob standing around doing nothing. We may even see a little effort on defense, and perhaps some sort of offensive game plan.riverat wrote:davidees wrote:0-31ish

NOTHING is happening right now that wouldn't be happening if Rick had stayed for next year. He left MSU basketball in a sorry state, there's no other way to put it. The only difference I see is just what is said above: we'll have a chance of building a discliplined team that works hard to accomplish team goals.davidees wrote:I didn't ask for the debacle that followed.
