Knew it was coming. He was going to become the go-to guy on the court. Obviously, he didn't want to be that.

Did he say where he was planning to go?

Everyone is saying Kentucky, but Calipari can get all-americans that can play immediately and not have to sit out a year.

Well, that's basketball....uh.....life on the road in the SEC....life on the road....players hitting the road....hitting the road.....
So much for building a team around Hood. One way to look at this is that there has now pretty much been an entire house cleaning of both coaches and players (even walk-ons are leaving), with only one assistant coach remaining on the staff, and just a handful of players. MSU's basketball program is getting a fresh new start. This team will be the new coach's team literally from the outset.
When it comes to house cleanings, no one can touch MSU. There is still some house cleaning left to do at Ole Miss. Perhaps we could borrow some of MSU's athletics administrators for a few months as button men in order to, as Michaeal Corleone might say, "settle all family business".

I never did see Hood as the player some of ya'll have made him to be. He wasn't even close to the caliber of Kentuckys starting freshman. Again, not even close.
He going to Kentucky now, hellz to the no.
He was slightly above average at best.

Re: Well suc my
Stans always had two or three "white boy" walkons that were terrible. Guess they were there to help boost the team GPA because Stans could have found 20 guys in the intramural league that were much better players.
I also don't think Hood is as good as advertised. He is a solid player and I wish he would have stayed at State but I can't see him going to go to Kentucky or Louisville and being a dominate player.

Re: Well suc my
Speaking of "white boy" basketball players, I've been wondering lately --- is there now a rule that says that MSU and Ole Miss cannot sign a "white boy" basketball player to a basketball scholarship? Is it illegal? An SEC rule? I've noticed that many of the best teams in the NCAA tournament seem to have "white boys" with game. Although it seems eons ago now, I seem to recall the Rebels having a couple back when we were winning SEC West titles and going to NCAA tournaments (Keith Carter and Michael White (no pun intended) come to mind). Not being prejudiced or anything, just wondering ---not hatin' ---just wondering.

Good question....State even had a boy named White Power... or was it Shane. Anyways, there must be some agreement/rule/law prohibiting such things now.
