It's insane. If you can do it, it will work.

It works! But it really is insane. I don't know what kind of shape you are in but probably 99% of people will not be able to match the people on the video. We definitely couldnt keep up but we did the best we could. I did it for three weeks with a buddy of mine but he couldn't do it any longer due to his knee giving him trouble where he tore his acl in high school. After 3 weeks I lost 15 lbs and went from a tight 36 to a loose 34. And I didn't even follow the meal plan. Even after I quit the workout I kept losing weight. Overall went from about 220 to 197. I can't imagine what I would look like now if I had stuck with it the full 8 weeks. It really gets your metabolism going. If you commit to it and just do the best you can, you will see results soon. It's hell on joints though.

Yea the toil on your joints is a concern. I'm only 46 but they snap, crackle and pop every time I get out of a chair!

I did it for a month or so. Brutal. You really need to stretch and exercise for a week or two before starting. It is awful hard tO start it cold being in standard poor middle age shape.

my woman just got finished with day 60 and she looks AWESOME. I lift 6 days a week and it's not really my style, but it will definitely show results

The wife and I are thinking of starting it. Were in our late 20's so hopefully won't be too bad on our joints.

If you stick with the program and eat half way healthy through the process you will see good results! Its basically a glorified/more intense P90X. Beachbody has been coming out with dvd workout programs for years, and everyone seems to be better than the last.

Everyone on my shift done it last spring. We all do a decent amount of cardio, so we figured we were ready...........we were wrong! Its a super tough, very demanding workout, but if done properly you will see results. The last 30 days are the toughest so be sure to work hard the first thirty to prepare yourself.

Also, spend the extra mony and get a good pair of shoes. (Not running shoes) some type of cross country agility shoe is your best bet.....

My suggestion would be to do P90X first then go to Insanity. If you are in average shape. If you have been working out, especially hard in the cardio area go for the Insanity workout.

I know there is a series of DVD's to follow so do you do a DVD each week and do you do them every day of the week?

That's what isaid about the p90x! It did me good eventually.
Best advice I can give on these is to stretch good for a about a week ahead of time. Seriously it helps. I threw the DVD in and was sitting down 5 minutes into it. Follow the food book as much as u can. Some of the stuff was great to eat and others I've never heard of and not eating. Just substitute with something else similar.
Also be sure the pull up bar is on correct an tight. I came flying off the wall on the 2nd one bc it wasn't put up correctly. That hurt to!
You hve to be mentally into doing these and wanting results. It takes about 2 weeks for you to be ven close to keepin up with them. It's all about muscle confusion and pushing your body all the way to its max before it gives out.
They have the videos and apps on the iPhone also. It's like 5.00 a video I think maybe
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.

You do the workout 6 nights a week. Each DVD has two different workouts on it. There is a calendar that comes with it that tells you exactly which one to do each night. They average about 40 minuts total with all the stretching and warm up during the first 30 days. I never made it to the second 30 days but they are longer, more intense workouts generally lasting an hour or more. The biggest thing is to find a partner cuz this is one of those things you'll never stick to alone.
