Does anyone know a place online or not that has cheap tire prices? Trailer, pickup, 18-wheeler?
Re: Tires
I have bought truck tires from discount tires and trailer tires from tires-easy.Duck91 wrote:Does anyone know a place online or not that has cheap tire prices? Trailer, pickup, 18-wheeler?

Whats wrong with buying local? Do you not understand ecnomics? You hardly ever save any money in the long run!
Re: Tires
My guess is he changes out all his own tires and has a balancing machine, so why not try to get them on the cheap side...

No i guess i dont understand ecnomics?
I was hoping to get a little more than what i can find through searching tires on google.

Re: Tires
I priced a set of Toyo MT's locally at $1650/set mounted & balanced. Online they were $1240 with free shipping. I paid a local tire shop $44 to mount & balance them. The way I see it, I saved $366... I understand those economics. I'm all for local business, but I'm not gonna go giving out four $100 bills to small businesses to help them out.

Agreed... And yes I can mount and balance my own tires. Also, as a farmer We have several vehicles, trailers, equipment, and we go through many tires a year.

Re: Tires
So you don't support them, they go outta business, you have problems with your online product, need something on the weekend or holiday. Who you gonna call. I remember being little headed to Grandpa's on Thanksgiving and having flat. The local tire shop where my old man bought all his tires opened up changed one tire, and said you can pay me Monday and Ya'll have a Happy Thanksgiving. Man I wish Wal-mart and online shopping hadn't put him outta business.Chuckle12 wrote:I priced a set of Toyo MT's locally at $1650/set mounted & balanced. Online they were $1240 with free shipping.
