Re: rotax engine
Its still bad! Even badder when its free!

Re: rotax engine
I was looking into the 1000 outlander… I have always been a honda man but honda in my opinion just has not kept up with the competition. These Can Am seem like a dependable atv. I mean if its a good enough engine to put in an airplane I would think it should be a dependable engine.
Re: rotax engine
Those engines have been around a long time in some planes. It really makes for one badass go-cart engine too! If you ever wanna go 100mph on a go-cart put you about 35hp Rotax on there and hang the "@#$%#" on!merlebo05 wrote:I was looking into the 1000 outlander… I have always been a honda man but honda in my opinion just has not kept up with the competition. Re: rotax engine
I too have also been a honda man my whole life. I recently found a great deal on an outlander800. They are good bikes and good motors, but just like any peice of equipment they have their issues. With that being said my foreman 500 is about to be put up for sale. The auto tranny and efi just kinda spoils you.
The 1000 is supposed to be stout but i have also read where they are not worth the extra money. All the guys on highlifter favor the 800 over the 1000, but I'm a fan of "there is no replacement for displacement"

"Man you don't see them ducks, hand me that gun"- T.K. and Mike
Re: rotax engine
I used to be a yamaha man, and I bought a '10 outlander 800 and it takes a beating everytime we ride and I have no complaints what so ever!! I just purchased 2 of the 400 outlanders for my boys and they are a single cylinder bike but are suprisingly stout for a 400
Re: rotax engine

Hand an 07 800xt Outlander with a good amount of stuff done to it, had to sell it, because I was getting a little to brave for my on good with it.
Now have a 1000 X Commander and love it...
