I think the Buck Shop actually uses Tony's Tamales in town. His tamales are different from everyone else... and better. For reference, Tony's also makes the tamales for Walker's Drive-In.

+1 Stacy Martin does a fine job and you get your meat back every time. He is off of Martin Road. It takes about 5-7 minutes to get to his place from the Bolton exit at I-20. From Jackson, take I-20 West toward Vicksburg. Take the Bolton exit and go to the right. The road forks about 200 yards up. The road on the left is Williams Lake and the road to the right is Bolton-Brownsville. You stay to the left on Williams Lake until it dead ends on Highway 22. Take a left on Highway 22 and go to the first road on your right. Take that right on to John Warren. Go to the second road on your left, that is Martin Road. Take that left on Martin, go short distance and you will see the signs to his place.

He is also making boudin this year. Dang good. Our camp takes most of the deer we kill over there.
Anyone have a phone number?

I dropped off a few does over at Stacy Martins yesterday. Getting some boudin, jalapeno cheese sausage, along with a ham cured hindquarter and a smoked hindquarter made up. Im anxious on trying some new stuff. He gave me a small sample of the boudin and thats some fine stuff! Thanks for the heads up. Seemed like a good ole dude too. May be my new place.

anyone tried smokey doe's in Pearl? I took him 3 deer last week, and it was a shady looking place. I hope they turn out alright.

they are in Pearl off of 80 on McKay circle. there prices are right in line with every one else. Their Ganza sausage was great, that's the reason I took it there, but the place was super shady looking and they wanted to keep my cooler until I picked up my meat.

Just got mine back from Stacey Martin. He and his crew are good folks. Small time, and dont look like a meat market and I like it. The cheesy boudin is off the hook. I also got him to smoke and ham cure a hind quarter and it is fine. I've had a pack on my desk all morning at the office and I am having to beat people off of it. Its good just plain, or in a sammich or omlet. I will continue to use him. I like the small time operation. Thanks for the heads up whoever mentioned him.

Thanks for the heads up - they'll be getting some business soon.

I usaully use van's but wanted to try someone new last year. I tried Dwights in raymond and had a VERY bad experience with them. The meat was good but someone cussing me out on the phone after they had my meat for 9 weeks telling me to get it within 3 days cause they were closing the doors. Called me a MFer and that dont fly. I tell everyone I can to stay away from them. VERY bad customer service.
