Vonage home phone service

Does anyone have the Vonage phone service or had it in the past? What can you tell me about it? Good and bad...

Had it in the past and it worked well. We changed to Comcast because it was cheaper to bundle TV, Phone, and Internet. They used to require a 2 year contract but I don't think they do that anymore.

I have Vonage now. Its pretty good, there are a few hick-ups here and there but for 15$ a month you cant beat it. I had to get something because where i live cell service is almost non-existant and my wife has to be on call with the hospital. With that said your call quality is only as good as your internet service.

This is a good point to bring up. Depending on the amount of bandwidth/Mb you pay for per month on your internet service, this will determine the quality of your phone service. Another words, if you do not pay for a decent amount of bandwidth/Mb, then if you are surfing the internet and talking on the phone, you may loose speech between yourself and the other part for a few seconds. This is especially true if you goto an internet site that has a lot of data to transfer.
