Smithville got hit pretty bad. An interview with the mayor said that 2/3's of the community is gone and just about all the businesses are gone. 5 still are missing. Prayers go out to all of those that were hit by the storm.

My wifes side has some family that lives over there close to them. They are ok but everything else is not. The city is detroyed. They went into town to help today and took alot of pictures and you rarely see things that are still standing now. Grave stones were moved and thrown like rocks at the grave yard.
Unbelievable honestly.

Prayers sent to these people and others all over that have lost everything for these storms.
May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face, and may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars.
Cheers, Georgie.

Guys thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.... Its absolutely unreal. The town is gone. Thank you all to the nurses and rescue staff. It has been excellent. My house got missed by about a mile but my grandmother and others were alot less fortunate. If you guys want to donate anything I know that there are multiple groups in amory, tupelo, and fulton. Thank you guys a ton..

Look ive got a good bit of clothes I was going to give to the goodwill. All is in good shape, not messed up or anything. Everything is a L or XL in shirts. Sure I can find some pants possibly.
Got some of my wifes clothes also thats a S-M I was putting in with it. Think I have 3 pairs on shoes and a pair of columbia hiking boots also.

Someone needs something on here or has family that does I'd be happy to give to them. Its a whole laundry basket full.

My wifes dad is going back to Pontotoc this weekend and should be able to meet someone close by if needed to give to them.

Cheers, Georgie.

quackwacker is from Smithville....His house had a tree fall on it, but at least still has a house....He is also the baseball coach. They are in the playoffs and local schools has called and offered all of baseball gear...They have lost all of their equipment and baseball stuff.....All of the players houses are intact though....I know there are more important things going on right now, but I hope the team can pull together and win it all for the small town of Smithville. The small town is lost....but they will rebuild and the town will grow stronger and become even closer than they are now.

Thanks guys. It has been a long week to say the least. My house was spared. The path of the tornado was about 200 yards from my house so we are very lucky.
