Weak spot in levee at Friars Point?

There is another levee at friars point west of the main levee. The coe is back there attempting to raise it 4'.

My mistake. That should be the levee board, not the coe.

Truth:
There is no weak spot at Friars Point-
52.5ft prediction at the Helena gage equates to around 188.5 ft at Friars Point. The top of the mainline levee is above 202 ft.
There is a private levee on the west side that protects farmland. The COE is NOT doing any work to protect a private levee on the bature side of the mainline Mississippi levee.

I have heard so many wild stories flying around since last Thursday that are false!
Rumors scare people and it raises the anxiety level for all who are uniformed or misinformed. Misinformation will be freely spread over the next month so please.................if it concerns a federal levee system (Mainline Mississippi, Coldwater, Yazoo Backwater, etc.) take the information with a grain of salt unless it is issued by USACE (Memphis District/Vicksburg District/Mississippi Valley Division) or the Yazoo-Ms Delta Levee Board in Clarksdale or the Mississippi Levee Board in Greenville.
In the upper 3 counties (Desoto,Tunica,Coahoma) this is only a 50 yr storm event(as predicted). We have passed big events in the past so calm down, this ain't our first rodeo!

I don't know, I think this pot is so big it is stirring itself. Those 15 who were supposedly laid off for financial reasons have alot to say. They say they were complaining about some of the promotions being made and then suddenly they were laid off. Talk of heavy equipment being used on personal property, all kinds of cover ups, no auditing to see how the millions are all being spent. They say it is all going to come out in the future and heads will roll. I don't know I guess we'll see.

Disclaimer, I dont know this following statement to be fact:
Ive heard rumors that an executive order could be issued from the governor limiting access to oxbow lakes to protect personal property, etc, etc. Seems like a necessary thing, in 08, everybody wanted to ride and look at how high the water was, not realizing their wake was putting water in cabins that otherwise wouldve made it out dry by the skin of their teeth.

very interesting to read their comments. Got me wondering what all is really going down and being covered up. Nothing done to fast to investigate then everything could get covered up quickly.
