I'll second temperpedic, not really that expensive when you consider how many hours you spend in the bed.

Don't get a sleep number. I spend 120-130 nights a year in hotels, and they are by far the worst I've had. Second the tempur pedic though!

We went back and forth on a Sealy Posturpedic and a Tempurpedic.. I just thought the foam would be really hot.. They were about the same price so we went with the Sealy.. I love it.. In mattress you definitly get what you pay for..

I just got a new mattress at woodland furniture. Englander brand. It is a hybrid (spring/memory foam). best nights rest in a while.

Tempur Cloud Luxe. We are in the market for a new mattress too, and went and laid on every one of them the other night. My wife and I by far like the tempurpedic the best as well, but could not bring ourselves to spending that kind of money. I think we are going to go with a stearns and foster tuscan summer. About half the price of the tempurpedic.

Haven't been on the Cloud Tempurpedic, but IMO I would go with the midrange. I really couldn't tell a difference between my $3500 tempurpedic and the $8000 tempurpedic

The wife likes a firm mattress so we recently bought a Sealy Posturpedic Snowbound Firm for $1,000, she likes it so "we" are happy. It does seem to be of a much better quality than others we looked at. I can sleep on anything and miss the old water-bed from days gone by.

My wife did not like the Tempur style matress, she felt like she was sinking in quicksand and said it was harder to get up and out of.
