Too much response here guys !

I have a place in Jones county,... I also have an 8 year old son !
He can shoot just as many snakes on this property as he damn well pleases,...and NO,... I don't care what kind they are !

That's the way I want him to think for now,... When he is able to ID snakes a little better,... THAT is when can select which ones to "let go" !

For cryin out loud,... you would think these lads had killed a Bald Eagle or something !

I know nun-of -you-holier-than-thou, son-of -a-guns ever killed a friggin watersnake, when you were kids,....HUH ?

Ohhhh Nooooooo !

You perfect people, should give us "not so perfect" people people a little more breathing room ! :D

It's gettin hard to live with you Sons-uh-Bitches ! Yep,... I'm pickin at yall a little bit !

Ya'll all have a GREAT day !

I'm off to see if I can destroy a Mocking bird nest or something ! :D

Rip Em, I agree. Just be careful not to step on any ants, to some people that's a hanging offense. Please pardon my character flaw, I just don't get emotionally attached to snakes. :?

YEP,... Me too !

Heck,..... Thats just one more thing to seperate us from the danged ol "city slickers" !

Ya'll really gonna love this one,... Just in the last year have we got Garrett, to "not shoot", mocking, red, blue and other birds !

Took a few butt-warmings,... but ,....I somehow got my point across !

Up til then,... ifin it didn't want its booty "shot-off",.... it better hadn't come in the yard ! :D

Hey Rip,

Sounds like you got a serious hunting partner coming along nicely. Congrats. I work alot in the woods and marsh in south Louisiana and I don't really like snakes, but don't feel quite right about killing them anymore. Besides, there is always another right around the corner. But, if a big ole congo opens that white mouth too close, I don't feel too bad about the shovel to the head!

Man, you guys are waaaaaayyyy too serious. A forum member's little brother shoots a water snake and ya'll commence to chopping the little man's head off. CHILL OUT!!! If he had killed 10, then maybe he got out of hand. He shot A snake with his 20 guage. He's learning...no matter how much better ya'll think you are than him we all started somewhere, probably not very far from shooting snakes around the farm.

Damn right I'm scared of a snake when I can't see him. Found a cotton mouth curled up under the cushions of the sofa at camp last fall. What do you think happened to that snake?

Don't mean that I kill everyone I come across like I used to. But if one startles me and is too close for comfort, I choose me over the snake 7 days a week and twice on Sundays. I have gotten alot better about not killing them, but sometimes stuff happens. I am not scared of them at all, they really are interesting creatures. My first few years of hunting was about killing something, but now as I get older (a ripe old 27!) and through some experiences in my life, I now appreciate things on a new level. I may be still young, but I have seen alot and been through alot, but try to learn something new everyday.
