I have St. Augustine in my yard that has typical winter weeds. The St. Aug is totally dormant. I would like to get a jump on the weeds before it starts to green up. Can I spray Rooundup while dormant? What would ya'll suggest?
Also, I have a property that I take care of that is 100% Bermuda that is obviously dormant. It also has the typical winter weeds and some clover. Can I also spray Roundup? Should I stick to the suggested mixture on the bottle or something else? Any and all help appreciated.

Re: ask DS--roundup for dormant grass
it needs to be growing where it will take the round up into the grass. i don't think you'll have any luck spraying now.
and i don't know about the st. augustine but you'll have to hit the bermuda more than once.

the grass that is dormant right now will be fine, if you have poanna, henbit, shepards purse, etc.thatis green right now you need to put out roundup with something that has residual like prowl and atrazine.
