Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
Ark was not robbed of a win. The plays were reviewed and there wasn't conclusive video evidence to overturn the call on the field. That's what the rule states. There was no view that definitively showed the ball be dislodged before the ball broke the goal line. It did look like it might be out but you can't assume. I will say auburn got lucky with the calls on the field bc if fannins touchdown was ruled a fumble it wouldn't have been overturned. Same goes for the ark fumble. Hopefully we get some homecooking this weekend too. Lol. I think its gonna be a close game this weekend and lsu defense keeps it close.

It is funny that only Auburn fans see those calls that way...

Either way, the winner likely will face Bama for a shot a playing for the national title down the line. I honestly think that either LSU, Auburn or Bama will play for the national title, with LSU being the big long shot of those three.

I predict that the tigers will lead the west after Saturday
Seriously, who knows how to accurately predict a game like this? Not me.
I can say that it will be the toughest defense we've faced all year. If that slows our offense down & LSU finds a way to score over 24 ~they win.
No doubt that they will key in on Cam! They will try to force us into a passing game by stacking the LOS and spying Cam with 1 or 2 guys: a LB and a safety.
Will that work? We shall see very soon. We know Cam can throw the ball and throw it accurately. Can he do enough throwing the ball to beat a quality defense, we’ll see.
I don't see us sustaining the scoring pace we’ve been on from here on out partly because of the focus that teams are going to put on #2 & partly because we're about to face tougher D's. We’ve scored 30+ points in each of the past three SEC games, which is pretty amazing, but I don’t expect to do that against LSU or Ole Miss or Alabama, and probably not against UGa either.
On the officiating......It is what it is. It goes both ways. Do I think the ball came before crossing the goal line? Logic says yes if you look at both camera shots, but the the rule does not have logic built in. We got a gift on that one & maybe one more, but the hogs got a BS spot & a few more calls that could have gone either way. LSU NEVER gets home cooking calls ............NEVER

Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
Just by reading this thread I am getting what I expected and I LIKE IT A LOT. I LOVE the fact that Auburn is coming in off a big win, and love that LSU struggled against a rent a win. All week Auburn is going to hear about how they are the best team in the nation and for the most part all LSU is going to hear is that they don't deserve to be in the top 15 much less the top 10.
I think that will get LSU very motivated to play. I also think JJ will play and will play better but not great. He has gotten booed so badly at home I think it's on his mind too much. He will go to Auburn and get booed but in a different way, he seems to play better on the road. I think the game comes down to how well LSU can run the ball and how well Auburn can throw it.
Then of course at the end of the game the team with the most points will likely be declared the winner. I think LSU has a good chance to win, and they will either win by3-7 pts or loose by 10 or more.

close game and it's finally gonna happen......les miles actually DOES cost the tigers the win.
as much as i dislike the corndorgs i really feel sorry for the players, they win every ballgame without any help from their coach and he is setting them up for a locker room atom bomb when his luck runs out.

Robbed? ROBBED? Man that was grand theft! But regardless of what the replay showed we all know what happened. First off If I was Arki's coach I'd still be arguing. Who signaled touchdown in the first place????? NO ONE by the replays! But did an official toss the bean bag for a fumble? YES VERY CLEARLY on the replay. Did an official signal ball possesion to Arkie? YES VERY CLEARLY on the replays. The touchdown was BS! Should have been Arkie's ball as called. No one ever signaled a touchdown. REPLAYS CLEARLY SHOW THAT! Therfore wether the ball broke the plane in their possesion or not was a mute point!
Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
I'm gonna say lsu wins this one thanks to PP. lsu's defense will contain him, hell state did for the most part.
Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
Oh ok sorry. Ark wins and we will give state a W also bc you said 50-11 times they should have beaten auburn. Did you see the ball dislodged? No...the side judge did signal fumble. All the refs got together and decided on the call and ruled touchdown. The side judge who threw the bag was blocked from view just like the camera was. Your right though. When they got together the refs said 'lets just give auburn the touchdown, and when ark fumbles later we will give them that one too'. I wonder if they said we will give ark the first down on 4th and 6 and let them back in the game? Regardless if he was short or not, I think he was, but once again not enough video evidence to overturn. Pass interference on Washington in the endzone?? BR, you tell me....Refs are part of the game, nothing you can do about it. Take away those 14 pts from au they still win.
Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
Regardless of replay?? I had to go back and read that again. Regardless of replay 'we' know what happened. No, you think you know what happened. I don't think anybody knows what happened still. If ark didnt wanna lose they shouldnt have let au hang that many points on them. Kinda like when you say state gave that game to auburn. If they score more points they win. End of story. Auburn hasn't lost, but they dang sure could this weekend and if they do it won't be bc of refs. Ill complain though if there's some bad calls. Lol. As a fan of the losing team you have too a little.

Yes they are! But they had the call right! You are missing the point! No one signaled touchdown! But someone did rule Arki ball! Now you tell me that's ok? BULLSHIATT! The officials got together and changed the on field ruling! It BULLSHIATT any way you want to look at it! What I saw on the other replay of the Arki fumble looke convincing enough to me but I ain't the official. But it was obvious haow the calls were going, Went that way all night! We had a similar fumble against FL. They ruled it Fla ball too. But the replay overturned it and it ultimately was a gamechanging decision. Was it the right call? Looked like less evidence to me that the two in the Arki/Auburn game. Why is that in one game they rule one way and in another it's ruled differently. Isn't that what instant replay was suppose to eliminate? You can talk till the cows come home. I'm not an Arkie fan at all, but they got robbed, plain and simple! Oh and you have only heard me say we should have beat Auburn once! You know it's true, hell all the media knows it's true and so does the whole world. But like I said, we let that one get away but got a gift back from Florida. Now we need to make the most of it. You won't hear me crowing about state much and you damn sure not going to hear me making excuses for our losses some some webul fans on here do. When we get beat we get beat. End of game. If I think we got robbed I will say what I think, once, but again end of game. Now I don't have a dog in the Au/Ar game but I still say it was wrong. END OF GAME !

Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
First off Ark got robbed and they got it bad. AU always gets the most BS calls in there favor at home and it will be interesting to see how that plays out this weekend.
Second Saturday is going to be interesting, you have the #1 rush defense in the SEC vs. the #1 rusher in the SEC, Cam Newton.
If the LSU line can hold off Newton I predict a win for LSU. I agree with Jeff in that I dont see LSU winning by a land slide but they will more than likely lose by a land slide.
Thirdly even if AU wins LSU is still the real winners because all its going to take is one loss for Miles to get his chit together or hit the road. But win or lose its whatever because Nov. 6 I will see all of you BAMA fans at Death Valley.

I'm not missing the point, at least I don't think so. You say all the calls went auburns way. What about the pass interference on 3rd down or the 4th and 6 conversion? Those didn't go auburns way. Those calls could have really put the game away. Ark would've had to kick a field goal and au would have gotten the ball in ark territory on the 4th down turnover. Good game regardless, not for defensive coaches though.

Looked like a good call to me! He clearly had his hands on him and never turned around to look for the ball. Call it every time! Now the games over and I just saw the post and wanted to speak my piece afer seeing what you said. I said it was wrong then. The TV anouncers said it was wrong and if I were petrino I'd be fileing a grevince with the SEC over it. Not so much because it changed the outcome of the game but to try to prevent mistakes like this from happening AGAIN! Again that's what instant replay is for!

I am rooting for LSU all day long on Saturday! I sure hope they can beat the tigers or is it war eagles, guess it would be the war eagles as you can't have tigers playing tigers, right? Geaux LSU!

Re: LSU v Auburn Prediction Thread
I find it interesting that no one was whining about the 45 yards in questionable penalties called against Auburn in the Kentucky game. Two personal fouls for hitting a player in bounds and riding him out and one for roughing the passer against Fairley for hitting Hartline as he released the ball. All three helped sustain UK drives, but I haven't anyone critical of the refs on those calls. Bad calls are part of the game, you deal with them and move on.
