Who all has one, post a pic. I have been slobbering over a kimber for some time now just saving a little at a time to get it.

Take a look at Springfield's 1911's. Very nice guns and are a few hundred less than a kimber.

Yeah I like that GI model they have with the "U.S." engraved wood grips.

i got a stainless with black grips from taurus about a year ago i have loved it. I have also talked to two gun smiths and they say all the response to it is good as well, and swann was the one who recommended it and who i bought it from.

I have a 1913 colt 1911 US Army. It was carried in WW1 in Italy by my great great uncle. I have 2 original clips with the half coated markings on them. All parts are original and stamped with the correct generals stamps on slide barrel and frame. Its in 98% condition.

My grandfather gave it to me about 15 years ago and I really didnt know what i had other than a cool .45. I actually carried it around in my glove box for a few years. Till one day one of my employees saw it and knew a lot about the original 1911's. Needless to say, it lives in the safe now. I think I have some photos of it somewhere.
