Almost done........still have to do some fine tractor grading, seed, and hay. But it's basically waiting for some rain!!! Wow...was an interesting experience. Having built close to 100 houses and dirt work associated, this was totally different. Hopefully it will be full soon. Going to stock some bream this fall, then bass in the spring. I'm sure it will be a mud hole for a while, but chemistry works if needed.

I'll update later when I get some grass growing so you can really see the pond outlines. Water would help as well.

Big equipment is gone in the morning!!

Going to seed and start spreading hay this evening. The lake levee will be in the shade by 6 pm. Of course, cold adult beverages will be on hand for those inclined to help.

Thanks, you can run some running water blinds!! Bring the mutts.

I've got 40 bales being delivered and should be dropped before 6 pm.......... Probably won't take an hour to spread with 4 or so folks. Going to already have the seed spread. Heading out in a few to buy some Bermuda seed.

Can anyone do a rain dance for me?? :D

Mudbug Waterbug its all good. Add the right amount of pepper and AAIEEEE. How many pearly pops you have after I left. Saw several deer about 250 yards from your driveway. Fat nanny, must still of had a little one in her belly. Your tech pond ia looking very nice, as soon as we have a gully washer you are going to be in business.

I really don't have anything less than 4' deep, so weeds in the water should not be a problem. The pond edges will just have to be done with a weed eater.......

Not much difference. Most of the big rains have missed us. The big thunderstorms aren't getting to us. We have been missed numerous times by as much as 1 mile. It's so dry here I had the tractor out in the yard yesterday doing some grading......

I think everyone got rain yesterday but us.......not a drop.

There was an article in this months Retrievers Online on "building your own home tech pond." It looks like DIB covered most of the points (no pun intended) with his design. Its hard to get a feel for the dimensions of the features of the pond when you just see it on paper.
