Just want to send a big thanks to Joel and his team who put on the Mid South Hunt Test this weekend in Bruce. The Grounds are top notch, and the entire club went above and beyond to make this a great event.
I dont play the AKC game much but Mid South's test is going on my list of test that are a must attend in the future.
Thanks Guys, Great Job.

+1
Congrats to those that got passes. The Master judges did a real nice job. The setups were the kind that made you say "I want to try that". We'll be back in the fall.
Good job, Mid-South.

I agree 100%. I can't comment on the Senior and Junior set ups, due to me not seeing any of the test but the Master Judges on both flights set up test that were as fair as they could. From the line you could actually see the entire flight of all the marks.

It was a nice test. Fabulous grounds, and really fair judges from what I saw in both Master flights. Big tech ponds everywhere. I drove up in the driveway, and was like "DUDE, what is THIS place doing HERE....."

So many ducks, so little time....

Trey and Mark,
Congratulations on your success. It is hard to explain the commitment handlers put in to achieve a Master Hunter title. I am sure the time is worth the pride and prestige associated with such an accomplishment. Thanks for your comments on our event, we have a loyal group of volunteers that freely give their time to promote the sport that we love.
See you on the line,
Joel Johnson

I marshaled Master A with probable two of the most knowledgeable judges I have been around in quite some time. Bird placement was great and mechanics of the tests were easy to work, made my job just that much easier. Not to many times does a Master test go into the last series with 21 dogs or so and finish by 11:30 doing a fairly robust triple with a three re entry blind. It was all about mechanics and great bird boys and a great group of club members. Drew, Frank thanks for all your help, you made it easy.
Joel did an outstanding job of making sure all the equipment needed was available and I can't say enough about the bird boy's absolutely the best I have ever worked with or been associated with. I thought my first name was Yes Sir and my last was No Sir, this from kids 14 to 16 years old. My hat is off to them and there parents what a great bunch young men.
If you missed this event you need to ad it to your schedule this fall, it will be one you will not want to bye-pass.
Thanks to Joel and all his Posse for the great job the did, I truly had a great time.
