my uncle told me saturday that he had way too many hogs on two of his farms. Heading out in a few weeks to try and remedy his problem. I got a buddy that supposedly has some good dogs so this should be fun. :D

also try rice brand. The more sour it gets, the more the hogs love it. and it is a LOT cheaper than that high dollar stuff.

pour some water over that rice brand and the deer will not touch it. and put it out in the open so that the piggies have to expose themselves. I'm telling you, we lay them out with that tactic.

Do they visit it in the daytime? We've had a good bit of hog sign on our place for the past 2 years and have yet to see one. Trail cam pix are all between 1-3am.

they are most active at daylight and dusk, but I killed a 350 pound one this year at 9:00 one morning. I think it all depends on the pressure you put on them and the amount of hogs you've got.

soak some burlap in diesel and wrap it around a tree or pole (we had a wood duck box on a pole) beside your bait. They love rubbing on it.

AR15 with the 30 rd mag. Trust me it works and trust me the 223 will do the job.
There will be a day....

I like a fully automatic AR-15, works very well on herds of hogs and coyotes.
