to a rice field close to Falcon this morning....west side of the Coldwater river. I have never seen that many ducks work one field in all my life. Son is only 9 so he has a ways to go before mastering his shooting. Had a blast seeing all the ducks work and listening to the greeting calls of ole susie.
Good times.

I did the same this AM. Took my 9yo to our club this am. Shot up all of his shells, but had a great time watching and listening to all of the mallards and teal. We had more ducks this am than any other day this season. What a diffrence it makes when everyone pulls their boards.
Can't wait until next yea, but working on his shooting is a must.

Yep. Bout the only field that had water left. Ducks poured into that place.

I hunted east of hwy3. At falcon. We saw slot of ducks but none wanted to cooperate. Glad your boy had a good time. Boys did shoot at a few snows though. I guess I am glad it is over. Sure will be missing it in a few days though. Always next yr. Boys killed a couple at beaver dam sunday

I told you it is some jam up hunting when the ducks are there. Those rice fields along the levee always produced good numbers for us when they had water on them.
