Quiver River:

Postby Greymallard » Sun Jan 10, 2010 1:32 pm

I was wondering if anybody here has ever hunted the Quiver River. I didn't know if it was a viable place to hunt.

Thanks!

Quiver can be good if the river is out of its banks. Find a good tree line and stand in it.

Yep, watch out for the weirs or the hunt will be over before it begins. Back in the early 80's during a hard freeze up we killed 10 limits one morning north of the weir near Hwy 442 but there is no public access near by.

Don- Me and R.Benz were runnin that same spot back in the late 70's & early 80's. On one trip we almost lost a boat,motor,2 guns, dog, and 2 lives trying to exit on an icy bank. :)
