need some tips on dog food
I have a 5 year old 65-70 pd yellow male lab that is pretty active and i was wondering what would be a good dog food to feed him and were can i get it.
Hey shoot that greendaddy!! CLICK CLICK CLICK..... Hey that bird had a band!!! D@mmit!!!

Pro Plan, Eukanuba, Exclusive would be where I would start personally. Not all dogs do well on all foods, so you have to sort of experiment until you find what works for your dogs.

Pretty active is a subjective description. Unless you do a lot of training I would stay away from the performance foods and go with an adult food. I have had good experience with Exclusive Performance and ProPlan Performance but my dogs are worked at least 4 days a week. The Adult versions of these foods are very good and will be probably do you well if you are not training on a regular basis.

I've been using Exclusive (the chicken bag) for a while now. What do you think of it? I didn't have any references or anything, I just saw that chicken was the first ingredient as opposed to corn or soy. It seems to do just fine for my springer.

Animal Medical Clinic on 61 North sells Pro Plan, but not any of the perfomance/good stuff. All they have is weight management. I am quit certain that can order what you want as I get them to keep Eukanuba Perfomance 30/20 for me. I typically buy my food from PetSmart in Flowood, but in a pinch I hit the Animal Medical Clinic.

Exclusive is a very good feed. Tom Hamilton is one of Exclusive's Pro Staffers and can actually answer any question you have about it. www.brackenfen.com Believe it or not, the largest seller of Exclusive dog food in the US is Fazzio's, a little general store in Lizana, MS, i.e. northwest Gulfport. Fazzio's sells the heck out of it.
