We did it boys.......bow kill by 7 year old

As most of yall know ol Duckaholics life revolves around his kids succeding in their hunting endeavors. From a very young age both my son 7 and daughter 11 have accomplished more than I or most hunters had done at their age, heck Double R and I had Peyton and his son Duncan crawling ditches for snow geese at five years old.

Well Peyton has really become quite the hunter, he took his first at 5 with a muzzleloader, and three bucks (one at 263 yards) and two does with a rifle last year. He even refused to play fall baseball because it "Might" interfere with deer season......

The Trifecta was accomplished last night......

We have seen several deer since opening day of Bow season but just not the right shot. The right shot was yesterday afternoon. We got in the blind at our honey hole (paw paws garden) around 4:30 and dad was taking a Sunday afternoon nap soon after, it wasnt long before I felt that squeeze on my leg that told me a deer was within sight. A spike was a mere 11 yards from our ground blind and did not like it at all.......head bob, foot stomp, followed by a quick retreat. I told Pey it was ok that he would be back cause spikes were just that way, it took less than 5 minutes. I saw him easing back and told Pey to get ready and to aim low as he would be nervous. He came on out and stopped broad side at 21 yards.....and as if somebody called his name he looked away from us allowing Pey to draw........my last whisper was "aim low". It was in slow motion as the deer dropped into the arrow that was perfectly placed behind the shoulder. It was a short tracking job thru the privot hedge jungle.........and my seven year old had his first bow kill
