In response to the Game Warden post below
Here is my greatest game warden story
We got checked at Malmaison by Dale Adams. We were sitting there having one of the best days of the year and he came hauling booty through the trees. He had a jon boat with a 30-45hp(I think). The boat sat straight up with him in the back and that big motor. He was sitting in an old rocking chair or something. He was bouncing off trees. We all said look at this fool. He has lost his mind. I stepped out and waived him away, thinking he was some idiot trying to set up near us. He ran his boat up into about a half inch of water and it stuck. He gets out and runs to us. It was about 30 degrees that morning but was now about 50. He was dressed for -20 degrees. He runs up to us, sweat pouring off of him. Leaves his boat out in the middle of our hole. We have ducks circling everywhere, and he would say " get down, go ahead take em if you can. They were trying to come in this hole until they saw this FREAKING boat out in the middle. He checked every shell we had in the boat!!! EVERY FREAKING SHELL. We had 5 people hunting with us so that was a lot of
checking. It was late in the morning, so people were leaving. Everyone that passed within 200 yds of us, he took out running after them. Tripping over underwater structure the entire way. He stopped them and checked them. This dude was about to die from a heartattack. He had run a marathon in our hole.HIS BOAT IS STILL OUT IN OUR HOLE. This ordeal started around 10 am and around 11:30(NO SHEIT) he said " I'll see yall, dont kill them all". Needless to say we didnt kill a duck after 10 am.

i can see it now, but i definitely know dale is a superb guy! wish there were more wardens like him!!!!!!!!! Everytime i see him, he always very personable and nice. heck, he even tried to give me a ticket one morning for leaving early when it wasn't even me who left early. He came up to me and said, "here's your ticket." i was thinking to myself.."oh hell, what have i done now." he soon figured out I was the wrong guy. i can't blame him... it was pitch black dark outside! I can't see crap in the dark either. as a matter of fact, dale helped me search ALL DAY for my belongings when i flipped my boat. I'm sure he had better things to do and could have called off the search after 15 minutes of no luck, but he stayed there for hours helping me retrieve what was left. Even got to ride in his big a** boat with the 150 hp on the back. Therefore, I am forever indebted to Dale.

In 1999 Joe Ward our local officer checked myself and hunting party 9 consecutive days. I was guiding that week and he checked us everyday. At the time I was pissed because you can't hunt with the man checking everyone. I told his boss about the incedent and Joe hasn't checked me since. I know they have a job to do but 9 times at the same place C'mon.
