GET A COPY OF THAT TAPE!!!!!!! It will sprout legs and disappear. Get a lawyer. Criminal charges against the worker and civil charges against the daycare. Get your child out of that daycare ASAP.

I might not have hit a b*&^% but I would certainly contact a lawyer and press assault or child abuse charges on her. She would have gotten an ear full at the least. I would ask the lawyer bout the daycare they may be eligible for neglagents

Hell , when I grew up just about every adult in town knew that they had better snatch my little booty ( by my arm/leg/hair or whatever they could grab ) up any time they seen me forkin up . All of these posts about take the teacher to court and sue for one thing, and take the daycare to court and sue for another...aren't yall b!ithching about the cost of insurace(all types). Its chit like this that makes it so expensive. The teacher has been fired and the daycare seems to be taking care of it on their end. Go find the teacher, talk to her sternly and scare the living chit out of her. Also, waltz up to the day care and give them 9 kinds of he!!. Put your kid back in daycare and make sure they have the understanding that this will not be tolerated, and move on.

Those that keep acting like ni66ers and screaming sue sue sue...i have a question. If the kid didn't sustain any injuries that merit any medical attention(i.e. spending any money)...just a few bruises, then if you have a case and sue and win, what would you do with the money? Put it all aside for your childs education and future well being...because in reality, noting happened to you.

This sue happy mentality that this country has is one of the main factors as to why we are in the shape we are in. I am sure i'm going to get bashed for this, as I dont even have kids right now...but I have had my booty beat by several people who were not my parrents for being a little chit head(and I'm not saying your child is one), but I have been whooped on...and I think I turned out fairly well(though some may beg to differ)

You can also report this to the State Health Department, but its mainly a compliant and issue thing that you notify them about the isssues at hand. They can in turn revoke the daycares lisence and inturn shut it down if they see they need to.

I know this aint what you or probably 98% on this board want to hear, but this is a prime example of what can happen when you allow your toddler to be reared by another person.......your children need to be at home with mom during these years, plain and simple. Change your lifestyle, cut costs, whatever it takes, make it happen and you will not have to worry about this again.

I am sorry for what happened to your child as I would be livid, however, do not do something that will land you in jail or give you a criminal record. This would haunt you for the rest of your life....job applications, loan applications...etc, and hurt you and your family. Cool heads prevail.

unreasonable, irrational, and childish are the only words that come to mind when i read this response. perhaps, some of us have forgotten that the law no longer allows us to duel it out at high noon in the middle of the street. monetary damages are one of the only lawful remedies available since we can't go out and beat the hell out of eachother (I should also remind you that scaring the "living chit out of her" is assault, and you could be criminally charged and jailed), and punitive damages are meant to deter future conduct. here's a thought...you don't want to be sued, then don't do any of this $hit. most of us know that, and that is why we're not talking about any of us potentially being sued. FYI, the people who make insurance rates go up are the ones that file frivolous lawsuits, but it is certainly not a guy like this who clearly has a legitmate claim. for God's sake, the kid has brusies all over him. something tells me you would be thinking much differently if it were your child; i know i would. have you thought about the potential long-term effect that something like this could have on a young child? Perhaps you have also forgotten that the people whom you are suggesting we let off the hook are the ones we pay our hard earned money to care for and safely protect our children...or maybe you just don't comprehend since you don't have any children.
