Is peyton using pods this year? Give me your thoughts on that. some people say that pods are too dangerous for children, but I grew up filling up pods for dad.

I've shot muzzy for as long as I can remeber and the last 5 years I have averaged 6 deer a year with my bow.... with that said two years ago I jumped on the RAGE band wagon and killed 2 deer with the 3 heads I bought.... the two I killed died within sight and bled like you where pouring blood out of a bucket...but the one I didn't kill was shot in the shoulder cause he was quartering to me ever so slightly and I had made that shot a dozen times with a muzzy with no problem... hit him dead where I was aiming and got about an inch of penetration and no deer... blades where not even open all the way when I got down to the arrow.. cost me one of my biggest to date... My theory is you want as little room for error as possible this is why I also shoot a WB... the only problem I have with muzzy is they dont leave a real good blood trail... on the other hand the RAGE will leave one a blind man can follow if you are in the rib cage

never been able to get montecs sharp and seemed not every one would fly the same way.

been shooting rage three blades and like said before if you hit him where you want to you better put on your waders to blood trail em. i shot a buck last year at 25 quartering away at a sharp angle like i like em, i hit him behind the last rib and only went in about 3 inches and no blood trail but we found him. i still shoot em cause i have a couple packs and they fly better than any ive shot since shooting the t-heads. i know this, kill the deer and throw that rage away.

i m with land man though, going back to thunderheads when i run out this year.

Without a doubt he will be shooting them.......of course he will be right next to me.........he will shoot them until he is old enough to make his on decisions about such things.

Without a doubt he will be shooting them.......of course he will be right next to me.........he will shoot them until he is old enough to make his on decisions about such things.

Shot 13 deer with Rage 2-blade and never had one open in flight.

Not sure about that excuse......

but for what its worth, shot placement is crucial.....

make a good shot and any of em work.

Have several friends shooting the Slick Trick 100 and have been getting good flight out of em.

Practice with what you shoot and flight is not a problem.....I have never shot field points while practicing.....always what I hunt with

Shot the slick trick back years ago when they first came out... good flight but blood trail aint so great as they are on the small size for cutting diameter. I will take my chances with rage....no blood problem there.

buddy of mine shot one on my place last year with a rage 2 blade. he was 12 yds. and and perfectly broadside. The rage made a good hole but didn't pass through(should have been a double lung shot) the arrow kicked out and we never found it but we did finally find the deer(without a bloodtrail) about 90 yds away. I liked the entrance wound but I just wasnt sold on it after it didnt pass through. A co-worker shoots the 3 blades and he lost 3 deer last year, I dont know where he hit them. I just am not sold on the mechanical thing yet not just the rage but any of them. There is room for error. I either shoot satellite or muzzy 100gr.

Now losing 3 deer.........I think my pods are justified. Shot 7 last year 0 losses all with pod and rage. I did have less than adequete penetration one one but the ol pod saved me. Oneof those 3 could have been the ONE. Just ask ol chooper bout that. You can't put em in the book if you can't find em.

Hell, if you shoot pods why not save your money and shoot field points. You cant compare how well broadheads work against others if there is a pod behind it. Just sayin.


Just for the record I'm not dissin anyone that shoots pods, to each his own, just sayin you cant compare a broadhead with a pod behind it to a broadhead without one.
