Mathews Bows

Looking for opinions. What is the best Mathews bow on the market right now?

Not to steer away from your question but.....I have always thought the world of Matthews bows....I have the Switchback XT now and love it! However, I PERSONALLY think that Matthews have slipped since that bow. I chose (at the time) the XT over the Drenlin and the XT was the previous yrs bow. If I had to buy a bow now, Id buy the Hoyt Alphamax..just my .02

Their best bow out right now is the S2. The Switchback was the best bow they ever made and they know it. Switchbacks in good shape sell for a premium. That's why Mathews has put it back out there as the S2. Supposed to be the exact same bow. They have the Switchback LD if you have a long draw length.

I just think they kind of topped out when they made that bow and everything since has been just marketing.

I'm shooting the Reezen 6.5 and wouldn't trade it for any bow on the market. Never seen another bow that you can hand someone and they can split nocks at 20 yards on the second shot.

Matthews makes some good stuff but shoot someone else's before you buy one. I used to work in an archery shop and found out that there are two kinds of people.... those that can shoot a Matthews and those that can't. I can't. It doesn't matter what I do, a Matthews will get into my arm EVERY time. That would be a bad thing to find out after spending that kind of money. I shoot a Bow Tech, designed by the original Matthew's engineers from what I understand, and am very pleased with it. And, it was considerably cheaper than the equivalent Matthews.

I shot all the good bows on the market and ended up going with the Mathews DXT. I love it. it's smooth, quiet, and FAST as hell. Different strokes for different folks. Another bow might suit you better. I would definitely shoot all of them you could and make your decision from there. I shot the Reezen before purchasing my DXT and didn't care for it all that much. After all, most hunters only purchase a new bow every four or five years anyway. Get something that is comfortable and go with it.

I've heard a lot of people with this opinion. I've never shot it, my last bow was the Q2 that I bought 10 years ago. I did recently buy a DXT. Went to the shop and shot the DXT and Reezen one right after the other (without knowing which was which) and picked the DXT. Reezen seemed to have a lot of vibration/hand shock compared to the DXT. I think a lot of folks buy the Reezen because it is the latest and "greatest" thing out and never even shoot another bow. Not saying everyone does this, but I'm sure it is probably a large number of folks. I know several guys that wish they never would have sold their Switchback or DXT to get the Reezen.

i shot the reezen and monster last week. the monster is the best bow on market in my opinion.

I've got a Switchback(freshly tuned from the Sports Center in Starkville ) and I love it...I've heard a lot of people say that the Switchback and the XT are 2 best bows Mathews has made. I did get a chance to shoot a Reezen yesterday and that biotch was smokin though!

i went and demoed the new hyperlite today and its a great shooting lightweight bow also
