I heard about this on the radio this morning. I think the Lt Gov. is leading the pack.. It sounded really interesting..

The riders will be met at the Vicksburg Mississippi Bridge around 1100 by Blackhawks. One lane of I-20 east bound will be shut down until they reach the I-55 south turnoff and then head to the Harley-Davidson store.

If you guys are near I-20 from 1100 to around 1130, drop down and give them a wave. A lot of veteran's riding across the U.S. to head to Washington, D.C., for their yearly visit to the Vietnam Memorial.

I was with the civil war group portraying the 6th ohio. If you hear a reaaallly loud BOOOOooooommmm , That would be our 3inch ordanance rifle (" the Duchess " a 10 pounder ) touching off :D :D . thats my job on the crew , I'm the one who gets to pull the cord and make it go BOOM :D
Its an original civil war piece that has seen action

you will accidentaly learn more about history there than you probably did in school.

I think I heard it was the 7th year for it and I am very impressed it has grown this much in that short amount of time. Hats off to the organizers of this tribute. It has become a major stoping point leading up to Memorial Day.

I have yet to attend because I always seem to be out of town when it takes place.
If it doesn't work out there will never be any doubt that the pleasure was worth all the pain.

I sent a Chinook over there Saturday and it broke right after we jumped some halo guys, but we got it fixed and it was there on display for Sunday.

Did anyone tour the Army's best aviation asset? If so, please share your experience/thoughts. We have supported this event for the past several years and the crew always enjoys participating.

Also we are looking for pilots and mechanics for the CH-47 at this time if you are interested.
