Dog throwing up?
Dog throwing up?
My lab has had a bout with throwing up lately. He had it for a couple of days then went away.. It came back again last week.. Usually just a clear color and when he gets up in the morning.. Any idea what this is.. He is 11 1/2 years old.

go to the vet, call the vet, don't play around especially with an older dog. Better to be safe....Keep us posted

Is he eating grass and then throwing up?
Re: Dog throwing up?
The only time I ever had this problem was when I was feeding Nutro dog food. I hope it is just that easy for you.
Re: Dog throwing up?
No, no grass... He seems fine, other than when he first wakes up he throws up sometimes.. Then he is fine the rest of the day..

Re: Dog throwing up?
My female will do that sometimes, always first in the morning. BUT, she's only 7 and not 11 1/2. I would suggest getting your dog checked over for peace of mind.
I think my female gets a little acid reflux. I tend to train in the evenings b/c of work and she's used to eating in the a.m. while I have my java. If I delay getting something in her stomach is when it happens, but it's very occasional.

My female does the same thing first thing or very early in the morning. It always seems that she does it on an empty stomach and i suspect acid reflux as well. Afterward she is fine.

Went by the vet.. They said to give him some Benedryl... This will clear up the mucus that is causing him to throw up. I gave him some last night, and this morning he seemed better.

Another thing I have used is feeding the dog yogurt with his food. I have a bulldog that does that a couple of times a year and it clears up after a day or so.
