Hawks have to eat too. I usually don't shoot "Turd Rollers" but on occasion I have shot them. Ain't no way I would eat one though. "I have eaten wild game marinated in a lot of things but I have never eaten anything marinated in $#!+." Torch

I ain't got a problem with you if you kill'em and don't eat 'em, but give the meat away. If you kill 'em and let lay in the field or throw 'em in a ditch then thats not right. If you are truly an ethical hunter you'll ensure that they don't go to waste.

I know some homeless shelters and prisons will take unwanted deer meat - what about ducks?

we gave away some hoodies to an old black gentleman in kosciusko last year. about a week later we took him some wood dux. while we were there we ask him if he ate those hoodies (remember he's got a big family)
his direct quote was " I couldn't keep dem niggas hans out of my chicken nuggets" I assume they must taste fairly well fried up like chicken fingers,

Jroc that is a very nice mount I'd like to know who did it in case I kill my first greenhead this year. As for the hooded merganser if cook right it taste like every other bird. Trust me I know from expirience. If I wanted to eat $#!+ I'd go kill a coot.

Turner Brothers Taxidermy here in Hattiesburg did it. I got them to do this Greenhead "decoy" mount too.

I thought this was about shovlers. In fact, after this season, they may be my favorite duck, replacing the old reliable gray on slow days.

The last time I shot one was last year. We attempted to clean it, only to find rice breast, so we chunked it.

Don't care much to nibble on one. They're right up there with the old hoodies (aka. "skank duck")

that name pertains primarily to the hen hooded merganzer. damn near the ugliest duck thing i've ever seen.
