No one shoots an 1187? Mines 12 years old and black synthetic. Have had to use my foot to find it in the bottom of the swamp, washed the mud out of her and kept shooting. She's shot hundreds of ducks, turkeys, deer, doves, a crow or two and probably a couple of tweety birds. Its a little heavy but I am surprised how reliable it is. Clean it 2 or 3 times a year. Will shoot any shell 2 3/4 to 3" and has never jammed or misfired. My wepon of choice.

BERETTA 8) why use anything else? made over in the mother land by one of the oldest manufacture in the world they even make a couple of other good guns in that factory i.e. benelli, fabarm, tikka, sako they have got firearms DOWN. I wish one of you browning shooters would have taken one off my hands i could barely give away ended up trading it for a charles ddaley. shoots better than the gold. I've got a browning hi-power thats the only browning I'll ever own and it was made around WWII.

I could have made it purr like a cat in 15 minutes with some steel wool and a dremel tool.

Winchester Super X 2. One sweet shooting gun. Same thing as a Browning Gold, but, $100 cheaper.

870 WINKMASTER, I've had a 3'' since i was 11 and still got it. About 3 years ago I bought a 3 1/2''. I've killed every thing from clay pigeons and rabbits to hawgs and deer and 100's of ducks. I'm not gonna say one is so much better than the other because it is a matter of prefernce(thats why they make more than one kind) but I make my living as a gun smith and I know that I see more Benneli's and Browning golds than all the rest put together. And if I see them its not because they're working perfect!!!

same here bay..dad bought me one when i was 12...remington 870, and it was about 5 years old then...now i'm 37, and the guns still doing just fine...i bought another 870, the Express, that would shoot the 3 inchers, but it isn't half the gun the older one is...it did freeze one me once, after i fell in 15 degree weather. the firing pin froze, but i racked it a few times, and everything was fine....excellent gun , especially for the price of it...

If you see them at all, its probably because someone did not keep it clean 99% of the time, or so my gunsmith friends tell me.

Been hunting with a winchester Ranger 120 for about 10 years(got it from a pawn shop so no telling how old it really is). It has a slight problem with the barrel meeting the receiver, the rib that runs the barrel doesn't exactly line up with the ribs on the receiver. I have blamed this for my poor shooting  . But for Christmas I got a Charles Daly 12 ga. pump Field Hunter. It is camoed in realtree hardwoods and man does it look sweet. Finally gonna get to shoot it Friday and I can't wait!!!

Seymore is right on. Browning nuts should realize that the Win super x2 is the upgrade from the Browning Gold. And is also still the fastest shooting auto (yes its faster than a Benelli).
