i went the first year they had it... traveled 7 miles in 11 hours sitting in traffic. (thats like negative mph)

got drunk and passed out in traffic....woke up the next morning and was still stuck in traffic.

100degrees and no way to stay cool. Got sick from the heat. I hated every minute of it. Couldn't get vehicle out b/c too many people, split cab with a deadhead from wayback..to nashville. Stayed in nashville til my buddy came and got me the next day and we headed home. Most terrible trip EVER.

Festivals are more suitable for mountain temps.... not the south.

+1. If you had an RV it would be doable. There are some good bands playing. I like going to these kinds things for the people watching as much as anything. All walks of life at bonaroo. And those hippies can cook some damn good burritos.

I went the first year as well. I agree it was hot, but dang I had a great time.
As with anything, I figured that the next few years would not be as "fun" as the first. So, I have not been back since.
It is awesome that they are still making that thing happen. The price has tripled since my trip, but they are really getting some top notch acts now so I guess the increase is justified.
If you are young, like that scene and can make it happen....go! You will have a great time, guaranteed!

I went to the first 2, and while it was hot, it wasn't unbearable. I live in MS so I suppose I'm used to the heat. I had an absolute blast. Great music, and good times people watching too. Made some friends at the first one that I'm still in touch with.
