Snows in the Delta?

Postby duckcraze » Tue Feb 24, 2009 7:33 am

Anyone seeing Snows in the Delta? North, South, Mid? We hunted last weekend and saw very few as compared to the regular season.

The few that are left are in the wheat fields. Everything else has been disked and rowed up.

If they are that far up, it's more than likely for good. yeah a cold snap might push them a little south, but to say we are going to see numbers come back to MS is a not likely. They are thinking about breeding now and will follow freeze line back north. Their wintering south is over.

Purple martins are arriving from South America; the snow geese are headed to Canada.
