Smackdown in the Land of the Delta "Blues"

Postby foxtrot » Sun Feb 01, 2009 8:11 pm

Juvenile weekend with the "utes"! A couple of these kids have never even shot a duck before. They are headed back home to the Pickwick Dam area to sell their deer rifles... Saturday and Sunday totaled 53 ducks...

I was the "lab" for these hunts and let me tell you it was unbelievable. At first light on Sunday they didnt have time to reload their guns. The sky was swarming. At one point I looked down the ditch bank at all the kids and alll I saw was shaking knees and lots of eyes. Thanks again to our land owner for a good season and a GREAT ute hunt, I and they will never forget it!!! If anyone fishes for sauger they are on fire here in Pickwick right now!!

Next year, just make them keep quiet sneaking down the fishpond levee and they can top off those decoying mallard limits with some driven spoonbills!
