Ducks! Ducks! Ducks! Everywhere..........

Guys, I have never seen so many "high" flying ducks on my lease............Most were coming from the North and flying high with out even thinking about landing. Didn't fair so well with the killin' part, but damn it was pretty to watch. I guess we need to put out about 12 doz. dekes to get the bastards interested? For whatever reason they weren't giving any of our field holes a look.........just flying.........wave at them..........flip them the bird. The huge groups of geese have split up. Many and many ducks traveling with the geese flocks.

My advice is to be hunting in the morning, and especially Monday morning if you can. New ducks are here..........

Looks like they've moved on down, I drove this afternoon from Crowder over to Lambert and up 3 to I-69 and didn't see a lot of ducks or geese may be two big groups. It was pretty misty/foggy. Yocona and Tally rivers are rollin right now.

Saw this yesterday(Sat.morning) while hunting with friends around Cdale. Thousands all morning in groups of25 to 50 coming from the river. They work down to within around 200 feet and just wander around.The guy we hunted with said he had never seen this many ducks in this particular area.We could only get a few low flyers in though. I didn't get to go this a.m. but will get to hit it all week. Hopefully a few will hang around and not move out.

The high fliers started about 9am this morning and went on forever. Start sleeping in late and hunt from 9-11am and see if you don't do any better. The birds around here just are not doing anything early in the morning.

Def a few new birds. GH22 is right about hunting later in the morning. TedL and I killed majority of ours after 8 this morning. Wish this cold weather would stick around.

Could've been. We were just high enough to see down into the timber.

I look up some, but it's what's below that hurts the worst if you run into it.
