Pirouge concealment

Postby rustypjr » Thu Dec 18, 2008 8:22 am

I built that priouge a while back and it works great. I was wondering though if you could think of some ways to attach some fast grass to it to make like a little blind. I am going to have to hunt out of it now that we got all this water. It is painted a version of my camo but think that the fast grass would hide me better. Any ideas?

Go to the hardware store and get some bungee cord. The kind they sell on the spool. You can attach it like a web all over the top and stuff what ever you want under it to add a layer of concealment.

When you get to your favorite hunting spot, cut a hole in the bottom and flip it over on top of you. They'll NEVER see you!!!!!! Especially with that camo pattern on it.

make you a clamp on frame like would be on a normal boat hull. Just because it's a pirouge, doesn't mean those won't fit. If yours is like a regular pirouge (unstable as all hell), make you a couple of spud brackets to stabilize yourself. Otherwise you might be swimming more than paddling and then the hole in the bottom idea might be worthwhile.

Get you some old tennis court net, and weave raffia/grass all in it, cut a hole for the cockpit, and you are good to go.

You could fill it up with garbage and float down the Yazoo River unnoticed.

you can mount hinges attached to hog wire for the Flip-up-down, and then zip tie your fast grass to that
