Congrats JD, don't know or really care which is which, just glad you are going! Should be an awesome time, maybe the rut will be in full swing and freak nasty walk by at 20 so you can release an arrow into his ribs.

Good Luck, and a full story on the adventure with Pics would be pretty cool to see!

From what the biologist told me, their season is not going to good. They have killed 49 bucks and there main beam length is down 2 inches this year. The water stress really hurt them this year.

You are right bradrussell5. The guides spent alot of time in the boat looking for ME!! Years ago all the mallards were on the island.

Somebody asked about who bought Willow Point. WP was bought by Dennis Pasentine from Mandeville, LA. He is the owner of a river boat company named Florida Marine.

Yall both can talk all the smack you want to about me but small deer or not, I'm still ahead of both of you clowns this year. Don't give me any of that "I passed on some deer that I could have shot" stuff either. I have done the same, including an eight pt at the refuge that I should have blasted. Good luck at Tara Dilley.

jdbuckshot Yall are going to hit it right on the head. I hunt spitting distance (well almost) from WP and the bucks are starting to get on their feet. Seen several small bucks chasing the last two days. Only a matter of time for the big boys to follow, (one would have died this morning if he would have stayed still for 15 mor seconds :( )

His brother in law works on the rig with me. He brought some photos out last year from some trail cams. You wanna talk about some monsters. He(the bro-in-law) said he passed up quite a few in the mid 130"s last year.

Any way hope you get a gooun JD

Im back early,

started out not seeing many deer in bow range. My brother killed a nice heavy 15" eight poing monday mourning. I killed a 15" eight point monday afternoon. We knew if we are going to shoot something it had to be on monday because the weather was bad enough they wouldn't let them hunt on tuesday. we came home monday night

I talked to my dad and they were in the tree this mourning. Wish i could have killed the one i was watching chase a doe around.

the hunt was the best bow hunt of my life. i had 12 Deer in shooting range for 2 hours, while watching a big 8 chase does just out of range. He chased her back in the thicket, and about 15 min. later i hear a buck come out of the thicket grunting and chasing a doe. he ran in so fast and stoped! i was at full draw and saw that it was a good rack and i smoked him quarting away from me. he ran about 80 yards and i watched him fall. bout 10 min. later the big one came out chasing a doe. but never got closer than 55 yards. So if i wouldn't have pulled the trigger, i would have came home empty handed! and besides im ready for some greenheads!

Great hunt and a fantastic place to Bow hunt. My favorite Place to bow hunt. and i hunted in kansas for 3 years!

Good deal, glad you had a good hunt. I got the next few days off and I will be in a tree with or without this head cold of mine.
