I have hunted with one since they came out. I have never had a problem (I hunt in a salt marsh). I did put in s sure cycle system just to be on the safe side. Some people may have had problems, but I believe in them. Jack
Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

I would not trade mine for anything. Great gun and very dependable.

Clean it as soon as you take it out of the box, and then clean it again. They can easily become jammomatics.

I own one myself, and personally have never had an issues with it. Take it with me hunting, and usually clean & oil it after a couple of hunts, works like new every time! I would never trade this gun for anything.

I have had the same 11-87 for 13 years and hunt/shoot clays regularly and have never had a single problem. Keep the action greased and you will not have any issues.

My brother shoots my dads 11-87 and we haven't had a problem with it in two years of duck hunting. This is the third coming up.

We do clean it regularly. Some people brag about going 7000 miles before another oil change, or not cleaning their guns for 15 years. I'm not one of those. If you expect your gun to perform at its highest level, treat it with respect and take care of it.

I agree, take care of your equipment and it will take care of you.

I clean my handguns after every range trip.......................religiously.

My shotgun during hunting season gets cleaned about once a week.
I plan on keeping my guns a long time so I can pass them down to my son, they are a huge investment and I would hate to let them go without regular cleaning and oil.

If you can stand to wag the heavy thing around it is a good gun. I just really don't like all the extra weight of them.
