Re: Ark Ole Miss
Coach Petrino, will we beat Ole Miss? Petrino answers, "We damn well should."
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....

Yep, We should've. I feel sorry for you Ole Miss folk, that's the lousiest Arkansas team you'll ever play and the ref's bailed you out. The look on Nutt's face after the on side's was priceless. That was worth it. I'm so glad you got the Bwrain Bweeder showing his ass on ya'lls sideline now along with the broke pimp Almer Lee.
Casey has got to stop giving up points. He's ya'lls now. Can't wait till the worm turns around here, I'm looking forward to it.
And seriously, Why are the Sippi schools the worst traveling teams in the SEC. I've seen some non con's do better.

For those keeping track at home, here are the results from this latest post:
Number of "shoulda woulda couldas" - 1
Number of ridiculous nicknames stolen from some lame arkansas message board - 2
Number of cliches used to describe false hope - 2
Number of attempts to change topic because team lost - 1
Number of times loss blamed on referees - 1
Number of times he tries to convince himself that losing game was worth it (not to be confused with moral victory) - 1

Re: Ark Ole Miss
hahahahahahaha are you whining and blaming it on the "pass interference"? c'mon gumbo, we gave you more opportunities to get back into it, not to mention the BS late hit call on Trahan which led to your first TD.. yea, we were helped by the officials alright

Re: Ark Ole Miss
Thanks for your keen analysis there Gumbo.
As for the offensive pass interference call, it was clearly the right call and overdue. London Crawford, just a few moments before, had gotten away with a much worse push off in the endzone for a TD. It was likely the same official on both plays, as each occurred on the same side of the field, well down the field. I would think that official was likely thinking to himself: "look dumbarse, I let you get away with a push off for a TD, but that didn't mean I was authorizing a wholesale junking of the rules --- you ain't getting away with it a second time and stealing the game with that BS".
And your boys got the benefit of the doubt on the onsides kick call (initially ruled that ball out of bounds before AR gained possesion; reversed upon review due to supposedly irrefutable evidence showing otherwise). That call could have gone either way.
I don't think the Hogs were mistreated by the officials. Each team had almost the same exact number of accepted penalties during the game. If anything, it appeared to me that the Hogs were getting the normal home team benefit of the doubt.
The Rebels have been on the wrong side of these types of games so many times the last few years that I have lost count. It was about time one of them went our way ----finally. And how many times has AR turned its season around with a win over Ole Miss, and sent the Rebels spiraling in the other direction? Too many to want to think much about, from my perspective.
I have to admit though, there at the end, I thought it was going to end badly for the Rebs --- losing by a last second field goal ---perhaps more proof that my Rebels are just SNAKEBIT. But, thankfully, the bad mojo was turned away. Could this be a turning point for the Rebel program? A reversal of fortune? We shall see.
I will say this about the SEC "review" process. I don't think the term "irrefutable evidence" to overturn a call has been adequately explained to the review officials. It seems to me, from watching many SEC games this year, that it is just second chance to make a call. And the process itself is really slowing down many games. The AR-Ole Miss game was perhaps the first SEC game for Ole Miss this season that did not have a lot of reviewed plays (until that late onsides kick play --and they decided that one pretty fast). Some of the other SEC games by Ole Miss were slowed down way too much by reviews --- Florida, Vandy, South Carolina. Its ironic that they have changed the rules on the play clock to speed up the game, only to slow it down even more with the "review" process. Less plays from scrimmage by the teams, more time for the officials to take over games. I think they need to just allow each team one review per game ---and if the play is not reversed, the team challenging the call loses a TO. No "review" unless requested by team's coach. And clearly articulate and explain to all teams and the officials what the term "irrefutable evidence" means. These changes would speed up the game and stop the momentum breaking effect of such excessive numbers of reviews.

Biggie, I understand what you are saying about kellum, heck he can make a two yard run sound like the back broke into the open and is about to score. He gets just a little over excited

Not all Hog Fans. We had our changes. I remember my Hog missing an easy Field goal.
Lets say there was not a call on Crawford. We would had to still score to win the game! The RED ZONE? We have been there all year and can't score. I am not saying touchdowns not a field goal, NOTHING! Time after time.
No way the field goal kicker would have won it Saturday night. Maybe a pass into coverage (like DICK DICK did all night) and Maybe if a Razorback caught it????
WAY TOO MANY IF'S IF'S IF'S.
Always hate when it is blamed on one call. Either you do something earlier in the game to win or you Flat lose! We Flat lost!
