Cheap shotgun shells

Postby Cousin Eddy » Wed Oct 15, 2003 2:11 pm

Hey gang. Simmons sporting goods in Bastrop, LA has Federal 3.5's on sale. If you buy one case they are 6.99 a box after rebate. If you buy 2 cases they are 6.50 per box after rebate. Just letting you know.

for that price, an occasional poof wouldn't be a big deal to me-- i did shoot a case of these last year with no misfires, but i didn't get them wet either--i wonder if these are waterproofed?
you did put in the plug, right?

No way and 3 1/2" 12 Ga. shell is selling for less than $7 a box and is waterproof too......

I shot some of the Remington Sportsman ammo last year and had no trouble with it, however it was all 3". I don't really go to the 3 1/2" shells unless I am chasing the geese.

We too have been shooting the 3" Remington Sportsman shells from Simmons for the last couple of years. You can't beat the price and I don't know of anyone who has been shooting them to ever have any trouble with these shells. In my opinion you would be crazy not to take advantage of that deal.
