Went Friday afternoon. $5 to park, $5 a head, kinds under 5 yo free. 22 ride tickets were like $25. It's defintiely a rip off. Many there were some scarey people wandering around there.

Dropped $140 and aint got Chit to show for it. It cost $16 a ride ( 4 tickets each ) for wife, two kids and I to ride a 3 minute ride.

$20 bucks to just walk in ???? Thats like paying a casino to come in and play....They should pay me $20 bucks to come in so that I will spend my money on their rides.

I bet they laugh every time a fool like me pays to walk in. There were a lot of fools beside me there....

I went the 1st night it was open, not many people there so I would suggest if you plan on going go the first night. As for the food  4.00 for an old booty ear of corn, 6.00 for a pronto pup, and 6. for a dans kabob, best thing there was the draft beer! I won't be back though.

Wife wanted to go last night for a d@mn pronto pup. $30 to get in, eat, and walk around. We usually go at lunch with people from the office. Free entry at lunch so you're only getting ripped off on the food.

Remember when you were a kid and wouldn't hesitate to jump on a ride and then grab a corndog without washing your hands. You couldn't pay me to get on one of the rides now. The whole fair is just basically disgusting to me now. It's amazing how quickly your views on things change as you grow up some.

Thanks for the replies. I have talked the family into NOT going this year.

Made a deal w/ my 8 year old - she got 2 DS games and stuffed animal from Wal-Mart. Got outa there for under $75!!!!!!!!!!

Bought a box of 24 corn dogs in the frozen section and a package of bratwurst to put on the grill.

My daughter won't ride the rides b/c "the people look scary"

To hell with the fair.

My wife and I went Fri. afternoon for lunch. 2 footlong corndogs, and 1 large coke, $15, refill for said coke $3. I almost hit the carnie in the mouth when she asked me if I wanted her to top off the ice in my cup, yeah, make less room for that 5 cents of coke your charging me $3 for. :x

Just got back from the freak show known as the Mississippi State Fair.

All I can say is Holy $#!+!!!

$5 a person over 5 to get in
$5 to park

25 tickets for 22 dollars

$32 - Four chicken nuggets and fries and drinks at Penns

$1-5 to play the dinky games. At least there were several where you were gaurenteed a prize. That was big for the kids.

Despite the hemorrage of cash I still had a good time. I mean there is no place that is it's equal when it comes to people watching. I've never seen so many retards, smacktards, pimple heads, hookworm infested sister lovers, inbreds, criminals, gangsters, bubbas, meth heads in my life. Seriously the I could feel the genetic pool drying up around me as I walked down the midway. :?
