Can't recall the coolest thing I've found, but here's the coolest thing I've seen: About 4 years ago dukbum and I were hunting on the side on the levee at the camp when the river was way up. Ducks had been laying up against the side of the levee every day for 2 weeks. He and I set up laying down on the levee with fastgrass pulled over us and my dog in his finisher dog blind. Keep in mind the river was up so high that the Yazoo was at least a half mile wide at this point and the current in the main channel was STRONG. Well, I'm laying there listening to dukbum run his mouth and spill his whole life story (just waitin' on him to pronounce his homosexuality). Right at sunrise we see these 2 'things' swimming toward us, but it was dark enough we couldnt tell what it was. They get closer and closer and we're trying to decide just exactly what it was, thinking maybe it was 2 geese we layed as still as we could. I look over my shoulder and see Reagan peeking out his blind locked in on these 2 things. The closer they get, the weirder they look. finally they reach the edge of the blocks and we figure it out... it was a doe and her fawn. They had swam the entire width of the river from Delta National. They were so tired by the time they reached us, they started stumbling trying to get up the levee. We both sat up in shock as these 2 deer struggled to climb the levee a mere 15 yards away. It took the fawn a good 10 minutes to reach the top. The neat thing was the momma doe saw us and knew we were there, but she stood right by the fawn's side the whole time keeping an eye on us.

ahhh yes remember that morning...there wuz no rambling by me that wuz you telling me them doctor stories bout how you liked sticking your finger in butts of old people and checking there temps....we swared a many of times they were geese they ducks they were hogs they were bigfoots kids fun memory anyway trying to hide that snow white dog in that perfectly brown grazz

Had a big redtail hawk mistake my camo'd up noggin for a skwerl while I was bowhunting. I turned my head when he was about 7 cm from my face and we both about chat ourselves.

Guy I know found a civil war saber wedged in the fork of an oak tree in Tombigbee bottom. The parts exposed were almost rusted away but they took a popsaw and cut out the part in the trunk, it was pretty sound. Got it in his office.
