I heard somewhere & do not know it it's true, but the democrats usthat wear NASCAR jackets are simply showing their gang colors. If you notice, there's an aweful lot of impalas & caprice classics with purple paint & 24' dubs sporting nascar tags.
I think it's gang related.

they just think they look flashy, kinda like girbaud (sp) jeans, sunglasses at night; i don't think that shows gang affiliation.
Another item I find interesting is the wildlife and nascar license plates. Now that is just so cops will not know they aren't in the right county..

About the jackets...I dont know the whole story but know the outline it went down like this...

.... Big time non swimmer has a gang on the west coast.
....His gang all for some odd reason where the m&m jackets to represent they hood(because it rep their gang color)
....Then all the other clicks had to get some sort of jacket to rep they hood.
....They all get diff drivers that represent their gang colors even though they would not know anything about the driver (nor do I)but would just go by whatever color it was.
...This became a sign that you were a true "G" if you wore a nascar jacket and I repped that hood you be from.

Then we are here today and some how between then and now it became such a hood fashion(like the guy above said it is flashy) that other things were put on jackets with the same design such as spongebob or bugsbunny...And now it almost has nothing to do with the gangs just a hood fashion thats flashy.
