Buddy called and secured us a 2k lease in ARK about 5 miles from where I was hunting, Made my day so I thought I would gloat to seom people who would appreciate it.

Gorden I am still bought into the lodge. Was up there this weekend cleaning the funk out. We just are not leasing the same land. After the hunt we went on I was pizzed off figuring the land manager had been day hunting on it. We saw plenty of ducks but they were so skittish. The place we have now is about 5 miles from there. There are 12 relifts so water won't be a problem. The really good thing is it is costing us 1/2 as much so we are on the lookout for some sloughs and more fields to vary things up. You let me know when you are ready to go. I'll return the favor on the Maker's. I love that stuff

glad to hear that...i'll keep my ears open, every now and again i get a tip about leases in that area. I'll let you know....thankfully, duck season is only 8 months away....
