October 6th cookout?

Depends on work. I am gonna try to brew up a mess Thursday, but I may have to be on the road middle of the week, which would mess things up.

I will HAVE to come back on Saturday, or else SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED will have a natural born fit.

I am going to leave about 6:00 or so from Jackson Co., so you are welcome to catch a ride up and back that far with me.

Dad says that the 5 hour trip both ways isn't that bad, especially when you have to drive it every week.
GC, you have any redfish you want to get out of your freezer??? Jeff, I'll give you the recipe if you come.

We shoot low gun "elimination" wobble Scrap from the skeet stations in Mobile all the time. It is about as hard as it gets. Ever see a grown man miss so much he starts screaming? Fun though (if you ain't him)!

Okay GC I will have to consider that one. So you would leave MS at about 6 on Friday and come back Saturday. It would be a heck of a lot of drivin', but I would really like to go. I don't know what to do right now. I know I have to work till around then on Friday and will have to see what my appt. schedule looks like. If I am booked up at that time then I am screwed anyway. I will check and letya know, cause if I don't get away until 6 that would throw you way way off schedule. Will let ya know tomorrow. Thanks for the invite, i'm tryin

Jeff: I am in no big hurry to leave, just would like to get to starkpatch before o'dark thirty. Gotta check with my buddies who went to state to figure out how long a drive it is up there, I am thinking about 4.5 hours from Pascagoula.

It might be out of your way to swing over this far, but you are welcome to ride up with me.

GC....we've got a wobble trap....I'll see if GH22 and I can put it in the #2 trap house so we can shoot 'SKWAP'.....I'll set it to throw about 90 yds and oscilate vertically from about 2'- 11'.....'think that'll challenge you? You can put the gumbo in the frig at the club.....I'll just need to know about when you're gonna be arriving so I can open-up. E-mail me with your trip plans and we'll make sure the gumbo gets a good night's sleep. I'll bring a crock pot for rice.

Jeff, I'm sorry to hear that, but it IS a LONG trip, especially in one day. I'll see ya during goose season.

gc,I was stationed in Pascagoula back in 94.If you take 49 up to 59 and come into Meridian and take 45,I'm thinking 3.5 to 4 hours, but don't quote me on this just guessing.Gonna depend on how much time you make and how fast you drive.49 and 59 would allow faster driving than some routes. But then, you may already know this.just trying to help ya out if i can.the main thing is to get on 59 before you get to hburg,or else you'll go right through and ,i assure you, that will slow you down.been there ,done that.Almost gave up driving.lol

GC, it's 2 hours 45 minutes from Hattiesburg if you drive straight through. I'm 47, drink coffee and I've actually made it, non-stop, before the dam broke. However, if the temp is lower, better figure at least one stop.

If we're gonna shoot low-gun, 'guess I better load-up some 'Skwap' loads.....3-3/4dr 1-1/2oz #6's ....and shoot cylinder bore.....from the hip....'might do just as well.....

Slow it down between mile marker 125-127 (I-59)....'been an occifer o' de leu there, 'last two trips home.

I am new to this forum, and in fact live in SC. My huntin' buddy has in-laws in Miss. so we came out to hunt this past year. Had a great time even though we didn't kill a sickening number of ducks. Yall were so friendly and I can tell yall are going to have a great weekend. I wish I could come.

We'll be out there, Thursday afternoon around 5:30 to shoot the course and get the cob-webs out from between the ears (mine). If we can't get that 'wobble' in the hole, we'll need some help Sat morning. I'll be there around 8:00.

Come on out, Thursday.....that goes for anybody else ('Drake') that wants to learn how to hit these targets before GC, Delta Duk, Red-I'd-Duk and Goose-caboose gets a look at'em. The guy that runs our 5-stand league informed me (today) the targets are TOUGH! 'ain't no point in ME shootin' at'em.

I can't be out there at 5:30 Thursday. The 11-12 year old flag football team I'm coaching has a game then. Guess I'll just have to be there on Saturday.

Anat: B4 I go to peeling shrimp and picking crabs, do y'all have a stove or propane cooker at the club to finish the stuff up? I presume that you do since y'all cooked before. There is no way that I can get there thursday, more like 10:30 Friday night, or so.
