What I saw today.....

Postby GreenheadJim » Sun Jan 20, 2008 4:30 pm

I was at a public spot this mourning and some dum booty out of staters had done left a boat and decoys out in a hole unattended before midnight  . I set up nearby and at 5:30 2 more boats loaded with people showed up there. That really pisses me off  . I should have towed the boat away and hunted there like I wanted to  . I know no one left the ramp to beat me there, cause there were only 3 trucks and boats there. There is a launch time for a reason......you dumb azzes

How's this?

My partner and I went to a public hunting area with designated hunting units. This fellow in the unit adjacent to ours sat right on the line, about 80 yards from us, and the way the wind was blowing, was able to shoot the birds working our decoys upwind from him. Asshat was also skyblasting birds we turned as they descended to check out the dekes.

He didn't bring nothing but his ass and his gun. Mutha poker knew what he was doing too because he'd let some birds (which never got close enough for us to get a shot) pass by him so as to throw us a bone every once in a while. We got disgusted, packed up and left In hindsight, I guess we should have just asked the guy to come join us in the blind because we'd have at least got to shoot at the birds we'd worked for.

I feel for ya, the ones that piss me off are the jack asses that dont come in there until 6:00 or 6:30 and when they realize they cant have the spot all to themself (b/c the idiots over slept or are to freaking lazy) they set up less than 25yds from you and skyblast every thing in sight. I had this happen to many times this year, not to mention the dumb ass who came in at 6:45 one morning and drove through my decoys not one time but 3 and then ended up setting up no more than 40-50yds from me and had the balls to yell hey there aint no where else to go so I'm just gonna hunt here and then sky blast every freaking duck that flew over weather it was 40yds high or 250 it didnt matter to him

We flew over Matthews last night and 2 trucks were at the ramp parking lot at 11:30.

bwahhhhhhhhhhhh sad thing is the way some of the higher ups in JAfrica think you may be right. My hats off to Wingman, bullet, and all the gw's we have b/c they are over worked and under paid and each time I call any of them they come running or take care of the issues we talked about and solved them fast. However some of their bosses(the ones who try to run the thing) dont know thier booty from a hole in the ground. I agree there are some places that went draw that needed attention however, its common sense that if you close point A and make it a draw then points B C D E F G HI and J are going to become over crowded as well. I'll give them credit for trying but they have alot of work to do and little time to do it in or they are going to ruin it for everyone.

disclaimer:

This is coming from someone who try's not to hunt public land esp... those who have gone to draw Unfortenetly for mesometimes I have to in resort to it.

I was one of the 2 wingman. I think I saw yall fly over. The ramp had a little water on it, but we did not think much about it at first.

accidently drop your limit off in their trucks. Call the GW and state you saw them kill more than they should.

yeah it sucks, but thats the joys you get to work with.
