Am I crazy or did I read on here or on another site about guys using Shoe-Goop to seal seams in neoprene waders. Have a pair of Brush-tuffs with a seam starting to leak a little in the front. Anyone heard anything like that??

Skippy,
Before you try to repair try and take them back. I had a pair that started to leak around my knee. took them back with no receipt and got a new pair.

OK, next stupid question, do you coat down the inside seam or the outside one? Had them going on 3 years and first leak I've had.

Goop{marine or shoe}works, not as toxic as patch kit, that came with rubber wadders. It won't burn neoprene. Image

i have a pair of waders that started seperating in the seam. the seam had been covered in some kind of tape-like material to reinforce the seam. well, i turned the waders inside out and covered the inside seam with shoe goo from the top of the boot to the crotch. after that cured, i turned em right side out and took the "tape" off. then i covered the seam with shoe goo with about an inch on both sides of the seam. this was done from the top of the boot all the way to my hips. these waders are literraly held together with shoe goo and they are as water tight as a frog rear end.

i have a pair of neoprene waders that are leaking around a seam in front. all the other seams were covered with some kind of a sealant, but this seam and that is where it is leaking. i just put up with it because it didn't soak me it just got me damp as the leak was pretty high up and i rarely hunted in water that deep...only occasionally got in water that deep retrieving a duck or walking around putting out/picking up decoys. gonna give that shoe/marine goop a try before season so if it don't work i can try something else.

If you put a hair dryer on the shoe goo, it will cure a lot faster. It helps to use it to get the neoprene hot before you put the shoe goo on the waders.
