Need scope recommendations

Postby Bourbon » Wed Oct 24, 2007 2:56 pm

Recently got a new .270 Tikka Stainless rifle and need the optics to go with the gun. Any suggestions on models and where to find a good price?

how much you want to spend? I have a 270 with a swarovski 4-10 and I would recommend that. leupold and zeiss also make good optics. Nikon also makes a good one and they are relatively inexpensive. My advice to you is this: spend at least as much money on the scope as you did the gun, you wont regret it.

New Leupold VX 50 mm scope will mount using the factory rings. I don't think any other 50 mm scope will fit unless you buy new rings.

I have a tikka t3 lite with a Leupold VX 4x14x50 and love it.

The next scope I'll buy is a supersniper fixed 10x. $300 and I've never heard a bad thing about them. A buddy just put a 16x on a 22-250 and he says it's an arsewhupper.

Nikon for the price. I did buy Burris binoculars and have really been impressed. They gather alot of light before dark and were not that expensive.
