Hankook? tires

Postby Law Duck » Wed Sep 12, 2007 4:12 pm

Found a pretty good deal on some 285/70/17's. Just wondering if anyone has run them. If so, what did you think. Did they last, ride good, pull in the mud....... Thanks for any input!!

I bought a set back in March for my Z71, they run good and look good, but now I get about 2 gallons to the mile. They eat up the gas!

I have a set on 285/70/17 MTs on my Z71 and love the look but the gas mileage dropped about 2 miles less per gallon than my all-terrains. It was the best deal on mud grips I could find. They look and drive good. I could get 2 sets of those for the price of any others.

Are they the new Dynapro M/T or whatever the one is called with the sidewall treads? I've been curious about these too. Do they make much noise? How many miles have you guys run on yours?

Mine are the MT version really aggressive looking ,not to much noise on the road . They ride really nice. I've got about 4K miles on mine.

ducksak,
that is the same tire I'm looking at. The ones I priced were about $760 including tax. Is that about what you paid?

Yeah they are the new Dynapro MTs with the tread on the side wall. I got mine at Davis tire in Byram. I found them cheaper a few other places but they were out of stock. I paid just under $700 with tax, mounting, balance and Nitrogen in them. Free rotation and balance for the life of the tire.

My brother sent me a price on some co-ops I think this morning. They were 136 per tire. I am gonna do some checking on them tomorrow. Really agressive looking tire.

If you do much driving I wouldnt get the co-ops. For a hunting truck they would be good.

I just bought a set and they are pretty quiet for a mud tire. I really like them.

Ditto....had my MT's less than 2 wks. Already made a run to the camp in Ark with them. Quiet, not as loud as the Kelly MSR's I just took off. Real smooth ride so far.

$715 and I was driving off with them on the truck.

Ya'll still talking about the co-ops or the original tires in this post?
