What can you plant now???

Postby baldduck » Thu Sep 13, 2001 12:53 pm

Guys, I just found out I'm going to be able to get into a lease. First time I've ever been in a club. Anyway we are planting for deer this weekend but wanted to know if there was anything we could plant that would be benefical for the ducks. Is it to late for millet? What would you reccomend. Thanks again for all your help. baldduck

i think you would be past the limit on jap millet unless we don't get a frost until late november.. got our first frost on the 10th of Oct. last year in north Ms. good luck on your hunt lease and hope you enjoy... go ahead and plant some wheat and clover for deer food plots.. now is the time.....

Judge, Thanks, don't know what we are planting this weekend. This will be the 2nd work day they have had. First year club, I'm just happy to be a part of it. Feels like I got a new car or gun. It's about like that feeling you had when you were a kid and were fixing to go on vacation. Can't wait. I guess I'll just wait for next year. But it appears we got a good spot for both ducks and deer. baldduck
