Federal Black Cloud Shells
Just curious what people have heard about these. The shot is pretty bizarre looking to say the least
Just wondering if they will be as good, better, or worse than normal steel loads.
Here is a link so you can see the shot inside

Do not waste your money. Do a search for Black Cloud on here, and you'll find out what you need to know.

Gulf Coast, educate me. If I have three boxes of shells in front of me and all of the numbers are the same, #2, 3 1/2", 1 3/8 ounce, 1500 feet per second, but the first box is Hevi Shot, the second is Hevi Steel and the third is Winchester steel. If the numbers are the same, then what is the deciding factor? I know there is some physics involved so help me out.

It's all about density.

Density, not strictly weight or size: This is not exactly fair, since the sizes are different, but think of it like this: Hevi Shot=bowling balls; Hevi Steel=Golf balls; Steel Shot=soft balls like at Girls Dixie Youth. You can throw a softball hard enough, or hit it with a bat, hard enough to kill someone dead as a hammer. But now think what a golf ball going that speed would do to you if it hit you. THEN think about what a bowling ball or shot put going that same speed as a soft ball would do to ya.....
