I found some of my Grandfather's duck bands. They are all marked AVISE BIRD BAND write wachington DC with a 10 digit number. I assume they are pretty old. Is there away I can find out about them?
Thanks for your help

I'd request duplicate certificates. That's cool stuff. My grandfather through them out with attached to th fet after cleaning; thought absolutely nothing about them.

hey guys - new to the forum so this is my first post. I'm sure some of you already know this, but for those who don't, you can actually claim your bands online now! http://www.reportband.gov/
I recently submitted some old numbers of mine & they mailed the certs to me within a week or two. One problem I encountered though is that older bands (20 years +)are not in the database. So more than likely your Grandfathers bands won't be there, but it's pretty neat otherwise.
It's worth a try though.
